Friday Finds: Capturing the Moment

by Dina on October 23, 2009

How many times have you heard a bride or groom say, ‘I wish this night could lasted forever’?    Now, you can capture the beauty of your wedding while offering your guests an ususal fun experience.  How?  With Live Event Painting.

I first came across this idea when I saw my Bridal Tweet colleague, France Lynn’s website She actually comes to the event and creates a painting on the spot!  Fascinating.  A little research revealed that this is one of the newest wedding trends.   Sure, you’ll have the pictures and the wedding video.  But I adore the idea of having a piece of art on your walls that you can easily share with anyone who comes to your home.  (Try doing that with the video!)

Happily, there seems to be a number of live event painters across the country.  Gail Fitzpatrick, another live painter, is based in Boston, my hometown.   The work of Agnes in Florida is modern and stylish.   A simple google search for ‘live event paintings’ will surely turn up someone in your neck of the woods.  Don’t you think this would make an incredible gift?!
