Friday Find: More Web Traffic, More Brides!

by Dina on June 4, 2010

Traffic- something I love to hate.  Whether it’s the bumper to bumper type on Rte 9 in Boston or the internet type, traffic can be frustrating.  I mean, how do you get brides to your wedding business site?

Sure, every other guru on the net is trying to tell you how to create a ‘flood of traffic’ and other such hype.  I found most of those folks hard to understand, much less follow their instructions.  That’s why I was so delighted to find Scott Fox and his Traffic School.  You get an easy-peasy education on traffic that is quick yet very powerful.

What I like most about Scott’s video series is his ability to share the strategy of WHY you’re doing it.  Too often, gurus focus on the what and how without so much as a passing shot at why.  For me that falls under the ‘teach a man to fish’ rubric.  If I don’t understand why I’m posting to article sites then I can’t actually reap the benefits or create new strategies that take advantage of article marketing.  (BTW, you should be submitting an article per month (or more) to article banks like EzineArticles.com or Articleteller.com as a way to building name recognition, back links and credibility as well as  attract traffic and brides!)

Each video is super short- around 3 minutes so it’s not like you’re chained to your computer.  And, there are ‘liner notes’ with the video if you want to refer back and grab a bit of information without watching the entire video again.  Although you could, they’re that short.

Traffic School really is an incredibly resource.  I got access to it when I became a member of Scott’s Click Millionaire community, which I love.  Click Millionaires is Scott’s effort to help others become internet successes like him.  It’s a very active, smart and responsive community.  No hype.  Just regular folks with ideas and dreams like you and me.  For those wedding professionals who want to beef up your offerings with an information product like an ebook or mini-course,  CM is a great way to get advice and support. ( Maybe I’ll see you there soon- say hi!)

That makes me wonder- why don’t more wedding entrepreneurs have information products?
