About

You should know this about me. I am obsessed with weddings. I never met a wedding show I didn’t like (well, maybe one). I think Jung Lee, owner of Fete, is a designer goddess. Preston Bailey’s work is the standard for sophistication and elegance. And, I would happily spend every day planning another marvelous wedding day. In fact, weddings are so important to me, my husband promised to marry me every five years-what better way to honor our commitment?

When the opportunity came along, I decided to ‘wed’ my obsession with my passion: people in relationships. I’ve been fascinated by how people talk with each other ever since I was a kid.  Then,  words seemed magical and that the right combination could yield, well, anything.  As a lawyer I learned words have tremendous power to heal and to hurt.  For the past seventeen years I’ve worked as a mediator, guiding others to  use their personal power wisely and kindly to say what matters to them to the people they care about.

I’m thrilled to use my talents and expertise as a conflict expert and educator to help you feel confident, happy and empowered in your business.  You started your wedding business because you wanted to make a difference in someone’s life.  But it isn’t always easy.

If there are days when you’re frustrated with clients or unhappy with vendors, I’d like to help you learn to handle that without stress or fear because you know what to do. That’s why I created Brideability, for wedding professionals who want to be happier and fall back in love with their wedding business.  What’s Brideability?  It’s the ability to influence brides kindly and positively.

Simply put, I’m here to teach you  a communication systems that allows you to set boundaries with clients, vendors and staff; handle emotionally-charged situations, and become a more creative, collaborative problem-solver.   We’ll do that in lots of ways that are fun and informative. It’s my hope that the tools, strategies and resources you find here will not only make your  life as a wedding pro easier, but your relationship and home  life, too.
